Neavita: when an infusion becomes a gift
The seasonal collections of herbal teas and infusions we conceived and directed. A different illustrator for each line, objects worth keeping, packs that get picked.

In short
Neavita has been making herbal teas, infusions and teas for over 30 years. Opificio Lamantini Anonimi conceived and directed several of its special seasonal lines, such as Infusi del bosco (forest infusions) and Infusi scaldacuore (heart-warming infusions): tins, mugs, jars and gift boxes illustrated by artists chosen for each collection, which turn an infusion into a gift idea.

At Christmas an infusion has to compete with everything else. It has to look like a gift already. For Neavita we imagined each collection as a small world: the forest, the winter. And each time we looked for the right illustrator to tell it.
The starting point
How do you get people to choose an infusion at Christmas?
In gift season an infusion competes with everything else. It needs packs that already look like a gift, before they are even wrapped. Our role is to direct: the idea for the line, the choice of illustrator, the direction of the work right through to the print-ready files.

Two colour variants of Infusi del bosco, in the design 3D models.
What turns an infusion into a gift?
A story. Foxes, owls, forest fruits: before you even open it, the pack tells a tale.
Every line starts from a collection concept. Then we look for the illustrator who suits that world and commission the illustrations. The illustrations are theirs. The art direction of the line’s whole system is ours.
In Infusi del bosco the words play their part too: around the mug runs the phrase vivaci armonie del bosco, lively harmonies of the forest.

A palette for each variant
Infusi del bosco and Infusi scaldacuoreSage green and mustard, with the tin’s yellow handles.
Deep blue and orange, for the second variant of the collection.
Pink and terracotta, from the tin to the mug.
Pink and lilac, for the coldest season.
Why should packaging outlast the product?
Because nobody throws away a tin with handles. It stays in the kitchen, and the brand stays with it.
Suitcase-style tins with handles, stackable jars, mugs with a strainer, a gift box with compartments. Every object has a second life at home, long after the infusion is gone.
In the seasonal lines the packaging does not just hold the product. It is the product: you choose the gift, and the infusion is inside.

How do you build a seasonal tradition?
One season after another, without reheating old ideas: every line starts from a new one.
Alongside the forest, the winter. Infusi d’inverno (winter infusions) go for a dark green, with the box, the mugs and the jars. Infusi scaldacuore (heart-warming infusions) move to pink and lilac, with the tin and the infuser for loose-leaf teas.
